Therapy for IVF, Fertility Issues, Miscarriage & Infertility. Specialist Support for Women.

My Style as a Therapist

My therapeutic style is warm, grounded and practical. I believe counselling and psychotherapy works best when it feels human, accessible and collaborative. I focus on the individual client in front of me and tailor my approach to suit your needs, whether you’re bringing something big and life-changing, or something more subtle that still matters deeply to you.

I specialise in working with issues relating to miscarriage, fertility, IVF and infertility - all of which I have experienced in my life personally. However, regardless of the issues that bring you to see me, I am approachable, and I lead with empathy, compassion and understanding.

Beyond this, you can find out in more detail about what it's like to work with me, below.

More Detail About My Way of Working: What Can You Expect?

A down‑to‑earth connection

I am grounded and down to earth, and I try to avoid “therapy speak,” as I don’t think it’s that helpful. I believe the most meaningful work happens when we speak honestly and naturally.

Compassion and empathy

I am here to understand what you’re facing and to be alongside you with genuine compassion and empathy. I listen closely and attune to what you need in each moment.

Gentle, thoughtful challenge

When it feels right, I will gently challenge you during our work together - helping you notice patterns, explore new perspectives and move the work forward at a pace that feels manageable.

Holding space for the most difficult moments

I can hold and stay with whatever you bring, including the most painful, traumatic and overwhelming experiences. My presence is steady and supportive, and I will help share the burden you are carrying so you don’t have to face the hardest parts on your own.

Practical support when needed

Alongside emotional exploration, I can help you make sense of what’s happening day‑to‑day — offering anchoring, clarity and practical ways of navigating difficult moments.

Space for the unspoken

There is no emotion too difficult or “messy” for our sessions. I will support you in expressing whatever you are thinking and feeling, including processing painful or overwhelming emotions.

A collaborative relationship

I listen deeply and am always open to feedback. Therapy is a partnership, and your voice is the most important one in the room.

Warmth and occasional humour

Therapy can feel heavy at times, but it doesn’t have to be serious every moment. I bring warmth and, when it feels right, a touch of gentle humour — helping the work feel human, grounded and a little lighter when you need it.

A safe, confidential space

I offer a calm, non‑judgemental space where you can open up at your own pace, going as deep as you feel ready and able to.

My Integrative Approach

I am a Masters‑level qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, with many years of experience supporting women through a wide range of life’s challenges.

Being an integrative therapist means I don’t follow a rigid, one‑size‑fits‑all model. Instead, integrative therapy is best described as a flexible “toolbox” of therapeutic ideas and techniques that can be adapted to your needs.

I draw on different therapeutic theories and techniques depending on what feels most helpful for you. We are all unique, and part of our work together is finding which approaches resonate most.

The Theories That Most Inform My Work

Although I incorporate a wide range of theories and techniques in my work, the theoretic approaches I tend to use most include:

  • Relational & Humanistic: The therapeutic relationship as a safe foundation for growth
  • Psychodynamic: How past experiences shape current patterns and self‑worth
  • Trauma‑informed: Prioritising safety, stabilisation and emotional pacing
  • Neuroscience: Understanding how the brain and nervous system respond to stress and anxiety

If you're not familiar with these terms, that's completely ok. You don't need to understand the theory for therapy to be helpful. I work in a down-to-earth, accessible way, and part of my role is to make things feel clear and manageable.

Beyond my Specialist Areas: Therapy for Emotional Wellbeing & Self-Worth

I specialise in supporting women with miscarriage, infertility and fertility challenges. If you would like to read in depth about these specialist areas and how I work with them, you can do so here.

In addition to my specialist areas, I also enjoy supporting women with their emotional wellbeing and sense of self‑worth. Many of the women I work with come to therapy because they feel overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood or disconnected from themselves.

I offer support with:

  • Anxiety, stress and emotional overwhelm
  • Low mood, sadness and depression
  • Loneliness and disconnection
  • Grief and loss in all its forms
  • Low self‑esteem, self‑criticism and self‑doubt
  • Work‑related stress and burnout
  • Navigating life transitions and identity shifts

Therapy provides a calm, supportive space to explore what is really going on. Together, we can work toward building more emotional resilience and a steadier, more compassionate sense of self‑worth.

If you would like to know more about how I support women with emotional wellbeing and self-worth, I explain more here.

Experience Working With Women From Diverse Backgrounds

While I specialise in working with miscarriage and fertility related issues, my clinical experience is broad. I have worked with women from a wide range of professional backgrounds and life stages - from industries such as media, law, medicine and business, to the creative arts, education, academia and full‑time parenting.

Having lived and worked abroad myself, I also frequently support women living in the UK who come from many different countries and cultures, including Ireland, America, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe. Whilst, for a few years, I also spent a day a week volunteering as a counsellor working with refugees and asylum seekers at a specialist charity in London.

My diverse and varied background allows me to understand the specific nuances of your daily life, whatever your “world” looks like.
